1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Car Story mobile application ("App") operated by TeamAM ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not use our App.

2. Description of Service

Car Story is a car maintenance tracking application that provides:

• Vehicle maintenance schedules and reminders
• Service logging and cost tracking
• Maintenance history management
• Educational content about car maintenance
• Data export capabilities

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

3.2 Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate maintenance schedules and information, we make no warranty that:

• The information is current, accurate, or complete
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be available at all times
• Any defects will be corrected

4. Limitation of Liability

4.2 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• All vehicle maintenance decisions
• Consulting qualified professionals when needed
• Following your vehicle manufacturer's specific recommendations
• Using your own judgment regarding vehicle safety and maintenance
• Any consequences arising from maintenance decisions

4.3 Damages Limitation

In no event shall TeamAM be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Vehicle damage or mechanical failures
• Loss of use, data, or profits
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage
• Any damages arising from your use of the App

Our total liability to you for any damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

5. Subscription Terms

5.1 Pro Subscription

Car Story Pro is available through the following subscription options:

• Monthly: $2.99 per month
• Annual: $29.99 per year

5.2 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

5.3 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions through:

• iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• Or: Through the App Store app → Account → Subscriptions

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. If we increase prices, we will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days in advance, and the new price will apply to your next billing cycle.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems to access the App

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of TeamAM and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

8. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the App, to understand our practices.

Key points:

• All your vehicle data is stored locally on your device
• We collect no personal information
• You retain full control over your data
• Data export creates local files only

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by simply deleting it from your device. If you have an active subscription, you should cancel it through your device's subscription management settings to avoid future charges.

9.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will cease immediately
• Any data stored locally on your device will remain until you delete the App
• Subscription charges will continue until properly cancelled

10. Updates and Changes

We may update the App from time to time. Updates may include new features, bug fixes, or changes to functionality. We may also modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as advertising services). We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and conditions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and the parties hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements.

14. Apple App Store

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and TeamAM, not Apple
• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties
• Apple is not liable for any claims related to the App
• Any third-party intellectual property claims will be handled by TeamAM, not Apple

These Terms of Service are effective as of March 1, 2026, and apply to all users of the Car Story mobile application.
