Made differently.

Most brain apps nag you, gamify your habits, and bill you forever. Hone Math is the opposite of that, on purpose.

01 · For adults

Not a kids' app dressed up.

Real difficulty curves, real operations — division, percentages, squares, roots. Designed for someone who already finished middle school and wants to stay sharp.

02 · Three minutes

The unit is small on purpose.

Daily Workouts are 12 problems. They fit between a coffee and a meeting. Long enough to count. Short enough to actually do, every day.

03 · Priced like it's yours

$4.99 once. Never a subscription.

No ads, no premium tier locked behind a recurring bill, no upsell popups. Pay once if you love it, never again. Free tier stays useful forever.

Why mental math?

Mental arithmetic is one of the few cognitive habits with real evidence behind it for staying sharp as you age. Most brain-training apps overpromise and under-deliver — they train you to be good at their game, not at thinking faster.

Hone Math takes the smallest possible step that actually compounds. Three minutes. Every day. Index goes up. Calculations get faster. Restaurant bills, client meetings, "wait, what's 18% of 47" — it all sharpens together.

It's not a magic bullet. It's the smallest, most-defensible mental habit we know of, presented without the engagement-loop tricks.

$4.99 once, lifetime

Questions, fair to ask.

Why "$4.99 lifetime" instead of a subscription?

Subscriptions make sense for products that get meaningfully better every month (cloud storage, ongoing content, etc). A math practice app doesn't need them. We're betting that the indie subscription-fatigue moment is real, and that paying $4.99 once buys more trust than $0.99/month.

Will there really never be a subscription?

Lifetime Pro means lifetime. If we ever build a second separate tier (say a coaching add-on), it'll be a separate product — your $4.99 Pro stays Pro.

Does this actually work? Will my IQ go up?

No app changes your IQ. What mental-math practice does, with evidence behind it: it keeps your number-fluency from atrophying. If you currently struggle with restaurant-bill math, Hone Math will fix that. If you already calculate fluently, it'll keep you there. We're honest about the ceiling.

How is this different from Lumosity, Peak, Elevate?

Those are general brain-training suites — many mini-games, subscription pricing, broad audience. Hone Math is narrow: mental arithmetic only, for adults, for three minutes a day, one-time payment. If you want everything, those are great. If you want one thing done well, this is it.

What about Android?

Not yet. iPhone and iPad first — if Hone Math finds its audience here, Android follows. Drop us a line if you'd want it: contact@teamam.org.
