Hone Math is built and operated by TeamAM. You can reach us at contact@teamam.org.
Hone Math stores your sessions, your Mental Math Index, your streak, and your stats on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's local storage (UserDefaults/AsyncStorage). This data is not sent to us. It lives only on your device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
If you restore your iPhone from an iCloud backup, your Hone Math data is included in that backup — but the backup is between you and Apple, not us.
When you tap "Unlock Pro" or "Restore Purchases", we use a service called RevenueCat to track whether your Apple ID has bought Hone Pro. The data RevenueCat receives:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| An anonymous app user ID (generated by RevenueCat, not tied to your real identity) | So we can recognize your purchase across reinstalls and devices on the same Apple ID |
Purchase event metadata (the product ID hone_pro_lifetime, the purchase timestamp, the transaction ID) | So we can verify your Pro status and unlock the right features |
| Your country code (derived from your App Store region) | For tax/regional analytics — does not identify you |
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, phone number, exact location, or any of your in-app activity. Their full privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
The actual money transaction is handled by Apple's StoreKit, not by us. Apple sees your Apple ID and card details, processes the charge, and gives us back a receipt. We never see your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.
If Hone Math crashes, iOS may collect a crash log and (with your permission) send it to Apple. Apple shares anonymized crash data with us through App Store Connect so we can fix bugs. The crash log contains technical information about your device state at the moment of the crash, but no personal data about you. You can opt out in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase Analytics, etc.). We do not use advertising trackers. We do not use Facebook SDK or any social SDKs.
The only data we actually receive (via RevenueCat) is your anonymous purchase status. We use it for one thing: to know whether to unlock Pro features in the app. We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than entitlement lookup.
Hone Math is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages, but it is marketed toward adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not have user accounts, social features, or any way for children to provide personal information to us. If you believe a child has somehow provided information to us, contact contact@teamam.org and we will investigate.
Because we don't collect personally identifiable information, there's no account to delete and no profile to download. If you want to remove all Hone Math data from your device, delete the app — that erases everything Hone Math stored locally. If you want RevenueCat to delete the anonymous purchase record associated with your Apple ID, email us at contact@teamam.org and we will process the request with RevenueCat.
RevenueCat secures their infrastructure to industry standards (SOC 2 Type II compliant). Apple secures StoreKit and the App Store independently. On-device storage is sandboxed by iOS to be accessible only to Hone Math.
Hone Math is sold worldwide via the App Store. RevenueCat's servers are in the United States; by using Hone Math you understand that the anonymous purchase record described above is processed there. The data sent to RevenueCat is minimal (purchase status + anonymous ID) and is not personally identifying.
If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users in-app at next launch. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
Questions about this policy or about your data: contact@teamam.org.
